Why you need to be careful when using humour (05 Aug 14)

Use of puns and jokes..


Subtle plays on words make us feel good and if you were writing the Parliamentary Sketch in The Times they may even be appreciated by your readers.

In writing an article of any sort they should be avoided at all costs.

If one person does not ‘get it’ – your piece is a failure

Jokes, especially those in bad taste are even more dangerous.
